Located in the prolific Lloydminster heavy oil region of Saskatchewan and Alberta, Trio Petroleum has strategically expanded its Canadian operations through the acquisition of multiple producing heavy oil properties. The Company’s assets are situated in one of Canada’s most established heavy oil regions, alongside major industry operators including Cenovus Energy, Canadian Natural Resources, Baytex Energy, and Strathcona Resources.

 

The Company entered the Saskatchewan market with its initial acquisition in 2025 and expanded its Canadian portfolio in 2026 with additional producing assets in both Saskatchewan and Alberta. These acquisitions include producing wells, a water disposal facility, and significant development opportunities, all operated by an experienced local team.

 

Today, Trio’s Canadian assets provide immediate production and cash flow, with current operations centered in the prolific Lloydminster heavy oil region of Saskatchewan and Alberta. The Company continues to optimize existing operations, evaluate drilling and reactivation opportunities, and is actively pursuing strategic acquisitions to further expand its production base and Canadian operations.
